A month as passengers aboard a working freighter

A couple of good friends of mine are undertaking the proverbial 'trip of a lifetime', circumnavigating the planet in a Mercedes Unimog camper.
They recently left Europe bound for South America on board the Grimaldi Lines Grande San Paolo, from Le Harve to Montevideo.
They landed a couple of days ago, and posted on their blog about the experience.
I though you guys might like to read the thoughts of a couple of landlubbers on the voyage and the workings of an ocean going freighter:

    :o

I was wondering where all the web traffic was coming from! I have to say it was a superb trip. I felt bad that we did not get a bit more under the skin of the ship as it were, but as passengers we were well minded and kept away from anything sharp :-)
