Okay guys, I've seen a few request for a forum meet up around the place so here you go.

Suggest dates, times and venues and I'll edit it into this post and the title when it's decided upon.

I'm going to suggest some time during the first week back (but not the first day) and in The Slipper.

Would love to attend and meet some of the boardsies and put some faces to text. :) Only going into first year and moving up to Dublin - have no idea of any places, so I shall assume I'm free and flexible for any times!

Ah, boards beers. You always get 15+ people saying they'd love to go and then maybe 4 actually turn up.

    We had ~20 last year.

id suggest you change the thread name to 'first year meet up' some people might be under 18 and feel put off by this. the point is usually for first years to meet each other to relieve anxiety.

We previously always set up IRC chat rooms, but I think Pygmalion was the one who used to do that :(

Changed it to 'DCU forum meet up ALL welcome'.

Aye, Pyggy has done it in previous years :( If anyone wants to start one though, feel free.

Sounds like no ones organised this? Seriously, just someone suggest a day and time to meet up somewhere on campus and head over to the slipper, ideally someone who knows where it is would want to guide. Sounds like a lot of people still would like to get to know a few more people.

How about Matt Weldons tomorrow evening at 9.30?

Heading out with a small group of people I met last week during orientation, I'm sure I could get them to come along too.
