I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say. Maybe you could rephrase it with punctuation?

The Gilgamesh tablets probably present a garbled version of a much earlier event where a great flood occurred. Nothing to disturb anyone's faith.

Ahh the Gilgamesh myth is well known and recognized as influential on the Israelite creation myth, so what?
Unless you think we are all literalists.
To imagine there was a civilization back then that had a schematic way of recording information on Tablets is simply astounding. Were they influenced by other beings?
    :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Modern Humans had been in existance for about 100,000 years by the time the sumarian tablets were written.

It's not that awe inspiring that one of them in that space of time had thought of recording events/stories.

People had been writing about 1,000 years already in places as far removed from eachother as China, Egypt and Mesopotamia at that stage (maybe even longer).

Language is something Modern humans are capable of, writing is just an obvious extension of spoken language.

murphyaii, yeah well wasn't it Lewis who said all faiths before Christ prefigured the incarnation so maybe.
Then again it could just be the way our heads work, no new ideas and all that.
Myself I think God works through us more than on us. I see revelation as scales falling from our eyes and as time goes on we build on what we have been revealed.
I also think that the details of the bible stories are not as important as the message they are used to convey. What the Sumerians were trying to express is different from what the Israelites tried to express even though they used the same tropes and images.

but sumerians are recorded as the first civilised civilisation before mesopotamia.
it is estimated that humans were on this earth from 450,000 years ago used by the annunaki for gold mining,
who according to the bible were the giants that interacted with humans, after adam and eve.
so if these giants were the main influence of the sumerians and handed down their knowledge to these clay tablets, it's makes you ponder on the whole creation myth theory.
are we from space or from some bacteria pool in africa?
there is a lot unsaid in the bible as most of you know and i'd love to have a peek inside the vaults of the vatican which is only reserved for leading authorities in rome and the pope.

I'm going to suggest that the Conspiracy Theories Forum might be more your cup of tea.
