    Hi All,

As I was driving to work this morning, I looked down at the speedometer and it was 'flicking' at 0. I was clearly driving alot faster then that as I was on the N7.

Any ideas what the problem is? I've been told that only an Opel garage can fix this problem and that it will be quite expensive to do.

Give the binacle a tap, i.e. the unit with the gauges in it. If the speedo starts working again, its most likely a faulty conction within the unit. I think the speedo is driven by the differential, and it could be a fault within the yoke bolted to the diff housing. That would be the cheaper option...

Thanks Azure, hopefully its just something small. Gave me a right fright this morning - didnt know tat could happen.

Worse case scenario, any idea how much it would cost to fix if it is a bigger issue? and would I have to bring it to an OPEL garage or can any mechanic fix it??

    Thanks
