    Hi all,

Just wondering if any Accountants out there have heard of how you get involved in the new scheme where banks send struggling mortgage owners to Accountants to explain options?

I got an email yesterday informing me that all practising certificate holders (CAI) will automatically be included in the scheme unless they opt out.

Thanks for reply smeharg. I am with CIMA but have not received anything like that yet. Has anyone else with CIMA received anything on this? If not, I'll send a quick email to them to see if they are getting involved in it.

    Hi

AFAIK you have to hold a current valid practicing certificate from your relevant association to be eligable for the work.

    Kind Regards

Hi I don't think cima are one of the accounting institutes that are involved in this scheme, I think it just CPA, aca and acca. The website keepingyourhome.ie has a list of all institutes and accountants that are involved.
