Does anyone know when exactly work commenced on this bridge and when was it officially opened to the public?? Can't seem to find any details about it online. I'm thinking around 1983ish(start) to 1987ish(finish) but i'm not sure. Quincentennial year I know was 1984.

These webpages indicate 1984-1985 as the start of construction.

It was officially opened in 1987 I believe.
