Flying to Vegas in November booked with lastminute.com, flying Dublin to London gatwick then onto Vegas, got an email today to tell me our Dublin to London flight has been changed and is now a lot later than it was!
It lands in London at 8.50 and our flight out to Vegas with virgin is at 11.20, is two and a half hours enough time, do we need to check in with virgin when we get to London? Havent had to deal with connections before so haven't really got a clue!!

If you booked with the same airline/partnering airline, then dublin will check you through, which means your bags will be targetted for the US already in Dublin and you get 2 boarding cards.
Two and a half hours should be okay for stopover, just keep moving quickly.

However if it's non partnering airlines, then you'll have to collect your bags in london and check in again, in which case, two and a half hours will be tight.

    http://www.aerlingus.com/help/help/baggageinformation/

Virgin is on the list (Baggage with other airlines).
If you want to double check, call Aer lingus directly and ask if they will check you through via London.
