At this time of year and in particular during warm weather their favorite meals are in abundant supply hence they grow bigger.

house spider - they grow so big - one got into my house last week, and out of the corner of my eye I thought it was a mouse because it was so big! They are always coming in at this time of year and scaring the crap out of people !! including me !!

Are there less spiders this year than last?

Last year I removed about 10 house spiders in August and September. This year Ive had none.
