Help - Firing multiple BB's

I have fitted a mad bull tab in my scar. Changed new hop rubber, all went together ok, but now I am firing up to 5 bbs at once, some trigger pulls will release just one bb, every two or three shots I get 2 together coming out the barrel and some times I get 5 or 6
I stripped the gun again and changed the hop up and nub but I am getting the same result
    what have I done wrong?:o

( the single shots are really accurate btw):)

is your AEG cycling it's gearbox multiple times or is it just firing multiple BB's with one trigger pull and only cycling once?

Gearbox cycles once but ejects multiple bbs
I think its a problem with the hop up rubber
If I turn the hop right up it will fire more single shots before a multy feed, if I turn the hop right down and insert a high cap that is wound all the bbs "ejaculate" from the barrel, quite humorous, but would be ****e in a skirmish :D

The rubber hop up is quite soft so maybe I need a harder one

definitely sounds like a hop up problem mate, what's your current set up?

Nothing upgraded motor or gear wise, just regreased and a new O ring o the piston head. ( did have a 120 spring in it but the FPS went up to 415 so I change it back).
Changed standard inner barrel to a mad bull 6.03 tight bore, and went from 245mm long to 363mm.
The original black hop up rubber tore takin it out, and I replaced it with an SHS but it seems very soft in comparison to the old one.

the SHS white is very soft, but I run one in my F2000 and never had a problem, it could be be far from what's actually happening, but it may have been the silicon oil playing with your feeding pattern.

What BB's are you using? And what hop nub?

One of the best things to do, in my opinion, is always to strip it back, inspect and rebuild just to be sure. Sometimes things get twisted, or out of place.

It is also worth inspecting your air nozzle - if it's resting at the rearward position, sometimes that can result in double feeds

Thanks for all your input guys
Inari I did as you suggested, and whilst the gun was stripped I gave the barrel and hop a really good clean. Got a heap of silicone out from when I had re-fitted the hop rubber, dried it all out re assembled and bingo
Hitting a gnats bollocks at 1000 yds (well not really 1000 yds):D
    (or a gnats bollocks)
But I am definitely back in the game.

    Legends the lot of ye

Hey hamster , is that the scar I sold you ? I'd hate to think it was given you trouble

Have you tested it with the hop turned on properly? You could have a problem where it isn't retaining your bb and others are coming up behind it during the loading cycle.

Look at it this way, you are a step closer to making an AA-12 replica if you would like to! Otherwise have a test of the gun with hop turned on properly or go back to the stock hop up rubber.

Yes - but only after I had fitted a tight bore barrel, but all fixed and firing alike a demon put in a slightly stronger spring too - getting 320fps

I hadn't got the rubber seated properly, and it was allowing a double feed.

I like the scar so much I have sold my G36 and got another SCAR

    Cheers Darren
