I am trying to get into multisport/adventure racing and was wondering could anyone recommend a good spot for training for hill running near Galway city.

The IMRA thread in the athletics forum would probably be your best bet for this. I know one of the IMRA guys was looking at setting up a group over in the West to do hill runs/races over there.

Some great hills on the roads up around Westside near Barna golf course. For off road hills, taking on the trails of Rosscahill will work the legs for you.
