Just wondering does anyone know the procedure/useful information for transferring over from the Irish Bar to the English Bar?

Interesting that the BSB are issuing a 'health warning' in regards to becoming a barrister!

There's a thread on this somewhere. You need to be in practice 3 clear years. Irish Bar deviling plus 3.

For some reason I was under the impression it included devilling. Not sure where I got that from though

So was I, then I checked! I believe that they might have taken it into account years ago, but it's simply classified as the English equivalent of pupilage now.

Is it just an application to move or do you have to pass exams etc?

There is an immediate exam route. Most opt for the Bozman option though, after a time. The expense should not be underestimated. Inns, registration, certification, call to the Bar and then Chambers - which by all accounts is a disaster to try and organise.
