Car port dimensions

    Considering a car port at the moment and wondering are there standard dimemsions for a double car port?

    4.8 x 2.4 is the min. but the general allowance is 5.0 x 2.5 so basically 5.0 x 5.0 actual parking area for 2 cars.

    So if you want to ensure its rain free when getting out factor in another metre either side and then what about when parking in a hurry or 1 car badly parked when you pull in ;)

    Also will "she who must be obeyed" be looking for a clothes line or will the dogs kennel be incorporated under to roof? If you dont have a shed will you be inclined to store fuel etc also? Just a thought :)

    So to allow plenty space for 2 cars and nothing else we're talking 7x5. Add in a few odds and ends pushes it up to 7x7 - yikes
