    Probably Freeview not Freeview HD so not able to receive Saorview. If you have a TV that receives the 4 analogue Irish stations try connecting it to the aerial and do a digital tuning scan. If it gets sound but no pictures its Freeview only (MPEG2) so you will need a Saorview box.

    Any update on this?? Any idea if it's Saorview?

    And does the USB port play .avi? I'd like to be able to watch downloaded movies!

    Just to update......my old man ended up buying a Saorview box cheap enough and connecting it up with this. I didn't look into it too much more after that but from what I could see, this specific model was not compatible, therefore the box would be needed.
