Netbook comparison - Acer one 722 vs Lenovo ideapad s205 (or others if there are any)

    Acer one 722 - €380
    Lenovo ideapad s205 - €420

If anyone thinks there's better price : performance to be had under 13.5" and <2kg then I'm all ears. It's for college, working while commuting. Battery life is somewhat important. I'd want ~4/5 hours with no wifi, low brightness, while coding (I'm aware working on these screens is a pain, but I need the portability and they're better than the 10" ones).

    Cheers

That's a no brainer really, the Lenovo has faster processor (if you can call an AMD fusion chip "fast" with a straight face) and 3 GB more memory.

However, if you need a somewhat decent performance, you shouldn't settle for anything less than a 2nd gen. Core i3 processor.

If you can afford to spend 100 yoyos more, there is a 13.3" Sony Vaio S w Core i3-2310M processor and 4 GB RAM at Argos.

Well I have an ivy i5 desktop at home for things that need some power. This is for some stuff on the move so it doesn't need to be that powerful. Just more powerful that an atom. Those are painfully slow

Well, C-60 is slower than an Atom N2600 (the current Intel netbook CPU) and the E-450 is only marginally faster. They're all "painfully slow"

Oh, crap, I see. Well in that case I'll just hope for the best with the Lenovo. Thanks

Your hope may be in vain. Just a quick comparison:

Certainly nothing to write home about. :D

    And then there is that:

Is it worth €100 more? Hell, YES! ;)

Even more so if your getting a dedicated GPU (HD 4670M) with it.

But... It's €100 :(. I just spent €1200 on a desktop build as well. Should have thought ahead

Well, a netbook is still a netbook and 420 yoyos (plus delivery) is a steep price (even for a 11.6" display).

That Sony Viao seems out of stock at Argos.
Any other ideas? I like that it`s beefier than a netbook but not too pricey.
    How about Lenovo E330?
