    I thought it was good. Obviously the exact same format as the channel 5 version – if it ain’t broke!!!

    It is great that it is now an hour long.

    Does anybody know did Discovery rescue it after channel 5 cancelled it (just like they did with the BBC with old Top Gear) or did Discovery poach it from Channel 5?

    Poached apparently.

    Anyone know when it's repeated? Missed the first episode.

    OT but when does using different fonts show up? The OP looks standard to me but when I clicked to quote it shows loads of font brackets (this is why I didnt quote it btw, I only wanted to quote a bit but its too much effor to weed it out)

    EDIT, did a series air on quest in may?

    @tiff_tv
    Fifth Gear on its way in May. Back to an hour and back with Plato but now on Discovery’s Quest Channel which is free to all digitally tuned!

    Enjoyed the bit when they were trying to out jump each other in the Beetle. Tiff has no fear.

    Loved the jumps with the Beetle, I'm now keeping an eye out anywhere local I could attempt a casual jump :D.

    I wonder would the VW Execs be loving the exposure or worrying the car will be junk after they get it back from their road test. I suppose a 5 minute TV advert will cost far more than the time it was on the show even if they had to scrap it afterwards.

    1st episode left me cold for some reason - Jonny wotsisname's as irritating as ever, saw little point or interest in jumping a Beetle, ffs, and little else in new car news/reviews apart from the Porker lead item... Maybe a whole hours to much to fill or their budget's reduced this year? Either way here's hoping it picks up from here..

    it be great if the review bangernomic cars and see how they stack up to todays standards. There is only so much Porche 911, Merc SLK, Lamborghini I can take in shows like these. All dream cars yes but totally out of the range of what I could ever buy.

    Look for her first top gear episode on YouTube and you'll see she cultivated that husky posh accent since she joined the show.

    Her OTT flirting to the camera is annoying TBH. Shame as she's a good presenter and I like her reviews.

    I prefer 5th Gear (car show with entertainment bits) these days to Top Gear (entertainment show with car bits).
