I'm starting work with a big 4 in a regional office (Cork) in a few weeks. The thing is I don't drive and really cant afford to start learning at the moment.

I was wondering would this really hold me back in a regional office or would it be ok to rely on the bus for a while?

As someone who works in Cork, it will really depend on your line of business. If you are in Tax, the likelihood is that you won't need to drive. If you are in Audit, you can probably get away without driving for a while in first year but you definitely need to make it a priority to get your licence. If you are going to Advisory I would say that you absolutely need to be driving, as you will be required to travel on occasions.
If you are simply questioning in terms of getting the bus in and out of work, i can't see that it would be a problem. I drive but always get the bus into work. Unless you fancy paying for a parking space or going in an hour early to parking at the docks, it's the most economical.
