    anyone taking part in the Faythe Harriers 10k.. walkers 10 am start.... runners 11 am start

    This promises to be a great race along the scenic Wexford quay front. It’s a fast flat course that is AAI approedl and will be certified and accurately measured. The course has been devised by runners for runners.

    Cash prizes will be awarded for the first 5 male and female runners and first over 40, 50 & 60. There is also a team race for teams of 5 people from sports clubs (with the exception of running clubs). Entry is €100 per team with a prize of €300 for the fastest overall team. The total prize fund for the race is €2,000

    Why aren't there team prizes for athletics club teams? :confused:

    good question.... maybe next year, we will add a prize for athletics teams. The club prize is geared more towards gaa teams. :)

    yes the event has been devised by runners for runners and as you can see there is a prize fund of €2'000 for runners... maybe next year we will have a prize for running clubs.

    I appreciate that you have a great prize fund and a good range of veteran prizes. It just looks bad when you exclude one particular sport. So, if I turn up at the race with by fellow members from our athletics club and enter as the south east tiddlywinks club will we be accepted.

    Fair dues for lowering the entry fee on the day to 20 Euro. 25 was a bit steep for a 10k in these times.
