Hello folks, has anyone got any knowledge of Rouge sheep, particularly, what are they like as crossbred ewes, are they good mothers, or mad, supposed to be good milkers?

yes we had them in the past , ... (still have a few second and third crosses)

good mothers yes , a little frighty maybe for the first year or so but settle down, yes they have adequate milk and are not over large grubbers. (fairly easily maintained)

rouge are mostly suitable for factory weights, if you are buying a ram only buy top quality, as they tend to pass on more of their traits to the offspring that other breeds.
