hi i'm planning to lose about a stone in weight and i'm wondering which would be the best method?

I'm going to cut out the rubbish and eat healthier.

i'm planning on exercising for about an hour a day, doing stretchs, sit ups etc firstly.
Then i will use the rest of the time for running, but does anyone know if sprinting in intervals or jogging for long periods better for weight loss?

All replies would be appreciated, thanks! :)

Simply changing your diet will enable you to lose weight - jogging/sprinting is unnecessary. However if you want to exercise, sprinting is a great form of it. 1-2 sessions of HIIT a week and you'll be good to go!

Jog once a week, do strength training 3x a week. By that, I mean heavy weights - none of that pink dumbbell lark. If you're looking for that "toned" look, it's the most efficient way of going about it :)

I am currently doing this.... warm up for 5min on the treadmill and run fast for 1min and then walk for 1min, I do this intervals for 30min and cool down for 5min I have lost quite a lot of weight since doing this interval training compared to just jogging at the same speed for a length of time, plus you will burn so much more calories as well!

Remember the training has to be quite high intensity other wise you are just basically wasting your precious time, what I recommend is to alternate the speed of every min you do of sprinting to jogging on an incline of 4/5!! :)
