Looking for Advice on a Pair of Headphones

I've recently started back in college and now have a bit of a commute each day and i want a new set of headphones to use with my iPhone. I am using a pair of creative bluetooth ones at the moment but this eats my iPhones battery and even though they have good sound i'm looking for a wired pair for to save battery

I've done a bit of research, i have a turtle beach pair i use for gaming but they're USB powered and a little big.

I listen to all music from black metal, to house and trance to classical and some acoustic stuff so i need a good all round pair.. I was looking at dre beats in HMV the other day and they seem good but i don't like paying over the odds for branding. would i be better with a pair of Sennheiser.

Nearly all my music is 256kbs - 320kbs mp3 or AAC or FLAC or ALAC

    I will pay for quality

You've not researched enough if you've not discounted Beats.

Audio technica ath-m50 (probably a bit big for commuting ~ €170)
Sennheiser hd 25-ii (small, portable and robust ~ €165)
Creative Audio Live! (not as isolating as others)
Sony MDR V6/MDR ZX700 (good all rounders)
V moda crossfade v80/m80 (good mix of looks and sound)
Noontech Zoro (if you like the look of Beats by Dre and a decent price)

I think that's the cheapest I've seen them.
