Does someone in RTE think people are stupid. They are showing us yesterday's daily mass right now on TV and I bet making many in hospital and in nursing homes believe that it is todays mass.

    What would be the difference?

Do RTE claim to show a live feed of today's mass??

RTE has taken to pre-recording Masses and Morning Worship to save money. My church is recording a service next Sunday afternoon, for broadcast at the end of the month

I've noticed a recent trend also to broadcast the same TV service - less common with Mass, with just a few edits etc - on radio at 10/10.45.

Presumably all to do with finances.

The liturgical readings are different each day. For example, the readings on Christmas Day would not be the same as on Easter Sunday.

Each day has its own readings http://www.easterbrooks.com/personal/calendar/yearly.php

I'm actually surprised that someone doesn't know that. Then again, I suppose I had such a Catholic upbringing that I know. For sure, in hospital, you are glad of mass, to pass the time.

It lets them edit out all the swearing.

I'm not Catholic, but I've seen Father Ted..........

So would foxy boxing, it's hardly a glowing recommendation for tv scheduling though
