Refurbished phone contains app icon that can't be deleted.

I just bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

I noticed it came with a game (NFS Shift) so I tried to play it. Never got past the loading bar, so I dug around to find the game isn't installed at all, I'm just stuck with the icon.

Settings>Manage Apps shows me it's only 148kb in size, but it won't give a remove/delete option.

I tried going to the Play Store so I could simply view my apps and hit "uninstall", but it's not showing there.

Holding down on the icon and dragging to the bin fails too (as it's not on my Home, it's in "Applications").

I downloaded an uninstaller, but that didn't recognise it as an app (or at all).

I haven't done anything to the phone. It's not rooted, customised, or anything like that. Just added a few standard apps (twitter, boards, reddit, etc).

If anyone can advise me how to get rid of the icon by other means, that would be great.

Try installing it from the Play store maybe? Then either play it or remove it.

Yeah I've been reading a little about rooting. To say I'm clueless would be an understatement, but I also would like to have my phone a little longer before cancelling my warranty. Just in case something major goes wrong within the first week or two.

Try installing it from the Play store maybe? Then either play it or remove it.

I forgot to mention I tried that. I couldn't find the exact same title, and the closest I found (with the same icon) isn't a free app, so I'd rather try alternatives before paying for a solution that mightn't work.

Thanks to both of you for replying.
