    Hi all
I'm following the HH1: marathon plan for Dublin this year, l cycle to work and back 4 days a week 7 miles each way, I'm finding that I'm to tired and missing mid week runs, the question is will the cycle miles make up the difference my pace by the way is 9 min per mile, lsr at 10 min pace, the Frank Duffy 10 mile took me 90 mins ,any thoughts?

If it takes you 90 minutes for a 10 mile race then 9 min/mile is way too fast for your normal paced miles. Chances are you are tired because you are running way too fast. Your normal easy runs should be 9:30-10:30/mile according to this.

HH1 is a very basic plan to get you around the marathon distyance so I wouldn't go dropping any miles from the programme. Cycling miles won't make up for missed running miles. Is it possible to maybe run to work once or twice a week and get a bus home (or get a bus to work and run home).

If your 10 mile pace was 9 minute miles your marathon pace is going to be more like 10 minute miles. So slow everything down.

+1 for Meno's point. Cycling is good for overall fitness but will give you nothing in terms of marathon training. I tried this a few years ago - cycled a similar distance home from work & then would head out for a run. It's very difficult, the best option for me was to run home from work instead
