guys hey, a neighbour, two neighbours actually, were telling me that its no longer possible to self build motorhomes, to quote "they put a stop to that" is this true?

ok did read, it seems its true then, I cant do the work myself?

i have to get fleeced by a specialised coachbuilder instead?

You can still do it but need to get it certified by an NSAI approved center

As far as I know you will have to get it tested regardless of who does the conversion for you.
There is still plenty of people doing thier own conversions and getting them passed in the test as long as they meet all the safety regulations etc.
I may be wrong.

No, its not true. it can still be done. Make sure you know what you're doing though.

Call your local one and ask them for advice most are very helpful.
