Painting ceiling in a room when its curved

Title probably unclear, but I hope I can explain this.

I am about to paint an upstairs room in a storey-and-a-half house. So basically the side walls are up to a height of about 5ft, then they curve around and into the ceiling.

I had planned to paint the walls one of the new silver colours, and usually the ceiling would be white. However, in this instance, there will be an awful lot of white compared to the silver walls due to the surface area of the curved ceiling coming down so low.

Should I go ahead and do a white ceiling? I was thinking I could do the ceiling the same colour as the walls, but I'm afraid walls and ceiling of silver might look strange. Or maybe silver walls, with a ceiling partway between white and silver?

The previous owners had done it all the one colour (magnolia!!) and it looks ok, but not sure if it will look ok with the new colour.

    Any thoughts?

If you paint the ceiling the same colour as the walls, you will loose any sense of height.

Paint the ceiling white and you will be grand.

Grey walls and a white ceiling look well together.

    Trust me.

    Thanks again Paddy.

In that 1st picture of yours, the difference in colours is nice, but the thing is you have a high ceiling, and high side walls. My side wall, which will be silver, is only 5ft tall, then the bright white ceiling will start. I'm afraid the white might overpower the silver (admittedly there are 2 full height walls on each side which will be silver.
