Hey all, dont know if this is the right section for this but here goes, i have 2 android phones and i gave one of them to my mom. I signed into my gmail account on both phones so my mom could get the apps also. I have now created an account for my mom on her phone and logged in and now when i go into the play store there is nothing under the installed apps section even though i have installed a good few apps on it already. Just wondering how i can sync the apps on the phone with her account now? I know a bit confusing and might not be possible, thx for any help!

You cant unless your gmail account is constantly on the phone.
Apps are tied to the account

Ok cool! Presumed they were tied to the account. So does that mean she cant update(automatically) the apps that are already on the phone? She has a new gmail account on the phone now.

To change accounts you have to wipe the phone, so all the old stuff is gone.

Don't confuse gmail with the actual account setup tho. Did you just setup her email on it? This doesn't associate her account with the market...

The account setup only appears the first time the phone is powered up (or again if it gets factory reset).

I deleted my account off her phone and signed into the gmail/market using her new account. Id rather not have to delete/restore the phone back again and have to reinstall everything. Just thought that it would just sync the current apps to her account when i signed into her account. Cheers for the helps!

Sounds like you just signed into her email, this isn't what you want.

You have to reset/wipe the phone, and then use her account as the initial sign in.

    To be clear:
There can only be one primary account setup on the phone (this is what market uses, chosen at the first time sign up).
You can then setup loads of other accounts to check email etc, but this is not used for the market.

Yeah i thought it would be the first time sign up thing that would solve the problem. So what i need to do is a restore to get to that? Thats means having to delete phone contacts, apps etc etc. Probably couldnt be bothered just too much hassle. Thx anyway!

Go into settings and the factory reset option is in there somewhere, maybe under settings->privacy.

Do it now before things get even more muddled (your ma having all your contacts for example).
