i have this bmw parked up for the last two years in the hope i could afford to drive it again, but it not looking likely at this stage, the car is just outside cork city, anyone know what price i would get if i scrapped it and where is the best place to go, car itself is in good nick, new battery, tyres and a wash it will be grand, i just cant afford a second car right now in my house, if scrappage is not an option i could try adverts, any advice would be great

A car sitting up for that long could mean more trouble than just a a new battery. You would want to have it in for a full service, the worst thing for a car is to lie up. Rubber perishes, it could mean lines (fuel/brakes) and seals in the engine need to be replaced.

That means it would be worth less than the going rate for other cars of the same model and similar age/mileage/condition.

You will increase the sale value by washing it yourself and getting a new battery, and replacing the fuel to get it running.

I'd try sell it first, you'll get the lowest possible value by scrapping it. Optimistically stick it on adverts.ie for 1,600 (or whatever) and see what offers you get
