I want to buy a book online (amazon.co.uk) but the site doesn't take laser and I haven't got access to anyone's credit card, does anyone know a site for books that accepts laser or some non-credit card payment? I have seen the book on ebay.com but they only ship within USA.

Amazon.co.uk payment policy...You can pay by:

Credit card: We accept Visa, Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Eurocard and American Express credit cards.
Debit card: We accept Visa, Delta, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Eurocard and American Express debit cards. We accept UK-based only Maestro and Solo cards.
Pre-paid payment cards: We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express pre-paid cards.
    Amazon.co.uk Gift Certificates

    We do not accept:

    cheques or postal orders
    Eurocheques
    cash in any currency
    book tokens
    purchase orders
    international wire transfers
    direct debit
    PayPal

"We accept UK-based only Maestro and Solo cards."
    Is UK-based including Ireland?

buy a prepaid card in your local payzone outlet, buy a o2 prepaid card in ano2 outlet, get a gift card with mastercard symbol form many shopping centres (liffey valley, dundrum, kildare etc etc) and use it like a prepaid mastercard.

Loads and loads of options on your doorstep.

you should sign up with bank of ireland, they have a new visa debit card that works like a visa card online and you can use it only if you have the money in your bank account so you cant overcharge on it, tis handy

....because I insist on 100% payment on my credit card every month to minimise costs. I wonder will a charge card still incur the Govt charge of 40 euros per year which I find outrageous, given that cash is so traceless and insecure and leads to increased costs in security and crime reduction measures for the government???

Thanks sandin, will have a look at payzone, didn't know I could use it as a mastercard...
