Buying a car-help needed!!

    Hi all,

I'm currently looking to buy a car but have NO IDEA what to buy.

I will be traveling 100km daily round trip so need something reliable and hopefully not too costly on fuel.

Have looked online and there are so many cars/makes/years/models out there my head is ready to explode.

Dont know much about cars so think I'll probably stick with a dealer so I have more comeback if anything goes wrong with it.

My top budget is 8k but wouldnt mind spending a little less if I could, but dont want to buy a piece of crap either.

From what Ive read I'm guessing I probably need a 1.4+l engine due to distance travelled daily (most of it on motorway), also a diesel is probably cheaper to run but they seem less common.

I also wouldnt mind it looking good too!!

    Any suggestions/advice would be great!

What cars do you like the look of?

Well although I mentioned that I wanted a car that looked good, it's not a priority. As long as it's not ugly I'm not overly fussy.

Cars that I'm considering are Mazda 3's and Mazda 6's. They look fine and threads I've read have said they're reliable and nice to drive and if I can get a diesel engine they can have decent low fuel costs.

I also want to look a bit more into Honda Accords, Hyundai Accents, Toyota Auris and Toyota Avensis (again my problem is comparing and choosing what's best for my needs, NOT A CLUE!!)

    What mileage is too much??

I'm still looking for any other suggestions people might have........

What do you think of this, for example?
