Hi all, was on here before and got a good bit of advice so hoping someone can help me again :)

I'm seeking to Transfer from my home club to a club 7 miles out the road. I know some of you might not agree with moving clubs so no near but I just want you to read some of the facts.

Long story short, I was secretary and Player of my club this year (im only 24). Around March this year a problem arose regarding management. During this period an incident happened that I cant explain. Following this incident I immediately resigned as Secretary and Player of the Club. (BTW I was not the culprit in this incident, more so the victim). I eventually contuined to play on with the clubs second team for the time been.

After demanding an Apology and negotiating with Committee members no good came out of it and I made up my mind to get a full transfer next year - 2013.
The my original club is a little village, but for past 9 years I have lived in a town 7 miles up the road. This is the club I will be getting a full transfer to.

What I want to know is, is there any grounds my club can object? They got wind of my transfer and told me that they will do everything to stop that transfer, even if it means sitting a year out next year. They would rather see me suffer. Great Clubmen by the way

The transfer deadline in my county is the First county Board meeting 2013. Is it possible to put in a trasnfer request in October/November this year to ensure it goes through in time or would I look stupid?

They only was I can see the club getting there way is that Im still registered as Secretary of my club. So when the transfer form is sent to my original club it will be sent to me. Could the club say they never got the transfer thus couldnt object etc?

Sorry for the long story/post. Just really need a bit of help with this matter as in reality it is a life changing decision.

    Thanks
    BT

from what i have read of your situation you will be fine, they probably will object but as you are living in the place you intend on transferring to they would not really have grounds to object

it's a big decision to make is there no way ye could work it out

As far as I know, if your own club object, no matter what the grounds of your transfer, you have to sit out for 2 years. This may be restricted to my own county but I am fairly certain this to be a rule, one especially enforced in cases such as your own

Isnt there a rule to allow you playing for your new club in March as you would be a year without playing for a club? And no transfer would be needed

+1 on this. It may go to an appeals board who would hear your case, but they would have to put it through. Get plenty of household bills etc with your name and address on and try speak to the county board transfer office and see what they say.
