PVC Tiles/Panelling or Tiles?

Anyone used the pvc pannelling or tiles in their bathroom. We were all set to tile it until someone of the builders suggested to my fiancé this morning that we should think about the pannelling. Anyone know about it, I'm nervous it could look tacky or cheap, though it's quite expensive apparently!

Did my mother in laws in it a few years ago, from my own opinion it looks cheap to be honest and IF you for example drop something sharp against it, it will crack, then the whole panel needs to be replaced.
BUT if its in a place like an ensuite, where damp could be an issue, its A1, for a main bathroom I wouldn't use it.

    Tiles all the way here.
Tank the bathroom and ensuite, then do your tiling.

If you afford it go tiles all the way.

In my opinion it does look cheap and as another poster said they are not as robust as tiles and do crack easily.

Definitely tile it. My mother had her bathroom done with them and there are holes and cracks where my sisters kids and my little sister threw off their shoes before getting a shower or a bath.
