M3 - has the toll increased?

    I passed through the toll between Navan and Kells yesterday. Went through the automatic barrier. I threw €1.40 into the basket. The barrier didn't open, then I noticed the thing said it is €2.10. I had to put in another 70c to get through.
    Did it mistake me for a van or something. I drive an S40.

    AFAIK the toll contracts only allow increases at the end of the year in line with inflation.

    AFAIK, each M3 toll is €1.40 and that any toll increase must be advertised. Also, I don't think that a €0.70 increase would be allowed. I also think that Toll increases happen in January. In short, I guess your car must have been mistaken for something else.

    Never use the automatic baskets, I was screwed by them on the old M50 tollgates in the past.

    Better still don't give the connected private sector outdoor relief scheme any of your hard earned and boycott them.

    I contacted them. IT error. Wonder how many people overpaid. Got voucher for one free pass!

    Had that happen before to me. Press the help button and you can chat with an operator, although that time they simply corrected the tarif manually within seconds without any need for me to tell them verbally that their machine was acting up!
