    The "added" solder

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,549 ✭✭✭*Kol*

Is that solder or has that fuse refused (no pun intended) to blow??

Is it the ceramic fuse is soldered and I think it should be a glass fuse in there?

The owner had put a patch wire in the fuse holder and bypassed the need for the fuse.

Is there a prize for the right answer?

Should this thread not be in Aidan's tips or perhaps in the thrift section of boards?

No , the glass fuses take a different holder.
Call to see us and I'll donate a paper clip! 😄

That looks like an post- production add-on in a modern vehicle. Was it potentially circumnavigating the problem of having two fuses on the same live?

That looks like solder, but is it perhaps a 40 amp fuse? That red wire should be fused at 10 amps imo. Blue fuses are 25 light blue or 40 dark blue.

    No , it's solder.
