I was in a garage looking at a 2010 peugeot 207 1.4 diesal and a 2010 Renault Megane hatchback 1.5 diesal... The garage told me that the peugot would be more economical than the Megan but I'm just wondering which would be the better buy long term and short term??

The 207 is a smaller car than the Megane as it is from a class below. The Renault equivilant of a 207 is the Clio. The Megan is alot bigger, more modern and overall better than the 207.

I've never heard of a Peugot or a Megan... Sounds like a seedy film :pac::pac::pac:

Seriously, the Mégane is a different class to the 207. Did you consider a 308 as an option to the Mégane?

If the megane has the optional 5 year warranty then I'd take that

There's only a one year warranty with both of them. I heard that renaults can have alot of electrical issues...

There should be at least a 3 years manufacturers warranty with the Megane.

And since it's now two years old, there is only one year's warranty left:)!
