    From the NARGC website:
Due to the Severe and extensive Fire (2011), and the Massive Habitat destruction, and a bad breeding Year 2012, the Grouse population remain fragile, and confined to the areas not burned. So for this Year 2012 the Game Shooting Bodies in Counties Monaghan, Fermanagh, Tyrone, have decided that there should be no Grouse shot this Year until we better access the situation in Spring 2013.

All our own membership have willingly put this Voluntarily Ban in place. We similarly ask all other persons to desist from shooting Grouse this Year (2012 ) for the good of the Grouse population on Sliabh Beagh. We Know and Trust that all Shooting people who Treasure and appreciate this beautiful Bird will also willingly forego this Season, so that the Grouse population going forward will be sustained.
