They show Breaking Bad every Thursday at 11pm. This Thursday they show the last episode of series 2 so next week (Thursday 6th September) at 11pm should be the start of series 3. That's presuming they don't take any sort of break between seasons but they didn't between season 1 and season 2 anyway :)

    Thanks Paully D.

Just seems like their promoting the 3rd season in recent ads on TG4.

Thankfully they're not having them speak in Irish with subtitles at the bottom of the screen!!!

Looks like TG4 are going straight into Series 3 next week. Nice one!

Edit: That link contains Spoilers about the Series 2 finale, bit it confirms that Series 3 starts next Thursday on TG4.

    Its on TG4 this Thursday.

It's nice to see it continuosly. ie: Series 1 to 3 back to back without yearly breaks that you forget how the last series ended and the storyline!

yup. great series. tg4 punch well above their weight in so many areas it's amazing. i think they were the first to have The Wire on, (i assume it became too expensive) wheras rte bought two and a half men - the fuking one with hippy head, whatisface, baby face, you know. ie crap., mind you i think rte are getting Anger Management, so...)

Wonder will they roll all the way through season 4 too, maybe even the first 8 of S5 that just finished?

is it as gaeilge? I'd give it a rewatch out of interest if it is.

I doubt it, unfortunately. TG4 usually either has original shows as gaeilge, cartoons dubbed over in irish, or live action shows simply in english, afaik.

So glad to see a TG4 thread, only started watching it with TG4!!

Absolutely hooked to it also. Keep thinking, "Oh I can get a loan of it from a friend or buy a box set" etc but I love having that one hour show each Thursday to start the weekend :o

Brilliant TV and have the on coming excitement as I've read everyone loves Season 5!

I went straight to the box sets.. I'd been hearing great things about the show for a long time but never seem to catch it on TV..

I saw a special offer on Series 2 in HMV for €14.99 last week and decided to buy it and sample it :pac:

They didn't have Series 1, so I downloaded Episode 1 online before watching the box set, so I'd be some what up to speed :D

Totally hooked, and I've since bought Series 3 and 4, I'm half way through series 4 now... been watching like 3/4 episodes a day..

Best thing I've seen in a long time :D

There are no fillers in Breaking Bad

And the episodes you might think are filler, are amazing either by the end, or after following episodes.

Jeezo Walt is not great when he is drugged up, that is twice he almost gave the truth, when Skyler asked him about his mobile phone (Season 2) he replied "which one" before his operation and tonight he almost told Jesse that he stood and watched Jane die, I can imagine that Jesse would have leaped on top of him from the ladder if he found out the truth.

You might as well shut the Breaking Bad forum down as there is no input from anyone else in it, I was the last person to comment on this thread and still the only poster on it now. The season 3 finale is on tonight, could more people comment on this seeing as this is the only channel in Europe showing Breaking Bad at the moment.

I purchased season 3 for 14.99 euro in HMV Grafton street a few weeks ago and have seen all of season 3.

    Can't wait for Season 4:)

Xtravision have Season 4 for 28.99 euro.

Any other prices out there to compare?

P.S: Fair play to TG4 for showing Breaking Bad from Season 1 to 4 non stop. Bualadh bos!!!:D

I see from my Sky + planner that BB S4 is definitely starting next week on TG4, serious hats off to them...wonder will they have secured the rights to show the first 5 episodes of S5 by March, then the remaining 8 soon after they air in the US around July (I’m guessing July anyway)…seems feasible enough, they were not too far behind HBO showing the last season of the Wire as far I recall…

Does anybody know the viewing figures for Breaking Bad on TG4 compared to other programmes on TG4?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 786 ✭✭✭TheNap

Does anyone know when BB series 5 will be starting on TG4 ? I've watched the 1st 4 series on Netflix but would prefer to watch series 5 once weekly on TV so i'd have something to look forward too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,382 ✭✭✭✭greendom

I have been recording it on TG4 since it started there and I went through a patch when I didn't watch it for a while. It's simply stunning tv - the best thing on at the moment and it deserves a place up there with The Sopranos and The Wire as one of the greatest series on tv.

Just finished the Better Call Saul episode - absolute class

Well there is twelve (Season 4) episodes to go and there will probably be a break during Xmas/New Year. So maybe March, April before it reaches season 5 or earlier. TG4 might even extend the break for Easter to time the season 5 episodes to match the final 8 episodes when it premiers here.

Why does TG4 keep on freezing when I try to watch Breaking Bad on Aertv and for some reason they cant show it on their own iplayer.

TG4 do not have the rights to put it on their player.

Has the program stopped for a break. Its not listed on Thursday evening anymore

This is great news, wondered would they stop for a few months then run S5 all the way through, but this way there will be about a two month wait between the first 8 and the new 8 on July 14th! 9I’m presuming they’ll show the last 8 pretty soon thereafter)
Up to date already btw, just happy (jealous) for the missus and some mates watching for the first time :D

Quick Q on an episode of Season 3 here.

It was in one of the episodes where Hank was in hospital after the fight the the Cartel.

Mike went into the hospital and put something into a box which was shown again then quickly in either S4 or 5.

    Just wondering what this was???
