UCD Rifle Club is pleased to announce that we will hold UCD September Air Open 2012, on Sunday 9th of September 2012 at UCD Rifle Club Range, UCD, Belfield.

This is an open competition for 10 metre Air Rifle and Air Pistol.

Competitions:

• Air Rifle 60 shot
• Air Rifle 40 shot
• Air Pistol 60 shot

Class prizes will also be awarded (based on the first 40 competition shots).

Entry fee: €15 (€10 students/juniors/seniors)

Pre-booking is essential.

Many thanks to all who came out today to take part in the UCD September Air Open 2012. Scores where high all around, with the pistol competition being especially competitive as standards continue to rise.

Congratulations to John Kinsella from Castlebridge Invitational Pistol Club who took first place, with an impressive score of 547. A single point behind, in second place, was Rathdrum's Caroline O'Brien with 546 and in third place UCD newcommer Hui Yu Tham with 541.

In the 40 Shot Air Rifle Competition, UCD's Claire Leyden took first place with a score of 352.

In the 60 Shot Air Rifle Competition, UCD's John Lancaster claimed first place with a score of 571, four points ahead of DURC's Vladimir Untila followed by UCD's Nicolas Nalpas in third place with a score of 549.

This was a great start to the new season and bodes well for the year ahead. We look forward to seeing everyone at our next competition, UCD Air Open II 2012
