    So i gathered all my documents and viles of blood and samples of DNA.....and sent in my application nearly 3 weeks ago to AIB and have yet to hear anything back...5-7 days and you application is still under assessment.....is this holidays or something else

    They do take their time. Keep following up with the local mortgage advisor, who can chase your application for you. Its not the local branch- its gone to HQ- so don't blame the local guys, for all their faults, this is probably out of their hands.

    Hmm, depends on the bank. But do keep bothering the branch manager. They've had so much work piled on top of them, what's a priority for you isn't for then. Remind them.
