renting business electricity question

    I am renting a coffee shop and have agreed all the rent part but the power is off over 6 months so it needs to be certified by an electrician am i responsible for the cost of the cert or should the landlord pay?

    A nice landlord will get it sorted for you but I have found most wont and will leave it up to you. This means you will need a qualified electrician to come out and go through all the electrics and then certify them. Then you need to get the electricity re conected and it can be expensive enough.
