Don't see it as a dilema, but rather as an excuse to go shopping :)

She got a KTM strada 2000 - picking it up this afternoon. And here's me cycling around on my 8 year old Trek 1000.

Maybe if I wait another few years my Trek will be retro chic!

    Hmmmmm........My bike = Size 54; wife's bike = size 52.

I'm sure I could get away with a 52. Now to convert her to clipless pedals.

Better still, call the shop and get them to put clipless pedals on the bike before you pick it up.

She won't be able to ride it et voila, a brand new bike for you, paid by your missus through her wages :)

    I have the same issue.
I spent a lot of time considering what to do about it........

    Bike is on the turbo.

Also set the clipless pedals on the tightest setting and round off the Allen key hole so they can't be loosened. A few falls and she'll soon give up the cycling.
