Fridge Problems

I have a recurring problem with my three way fridge. I don't have the model number but i'm pretty sure it's an Electrolux. It works fine on battery while driving but the problem is when I put it on gas. For example, was away for the weekend, had the fridge on battery while driving and it got cool. Put it on gas for the night and it was nice and cold in the morning. The following night I put it on gas again but the following morning it was warm, no cold off the element in the freezer compartment or anything.

So, the fridge works on gas sometimes and other times it doesn't, which can be annoying. Is there something I can do? Can it be serviced?

When was the gas end of it last serviced?

Just a question. Who would be the correct person to service a gas fridge? Would it be the same person who services gas central heating boilers?

    1. Someone like me, who is years at it, has the jets, igniters , switches etc in stock

    2. I would say no, they could do a gas soundness test but not check the actual correct running of the burner.

Had same issue, ended up cleaning the jet all working fine since.

Oh I got someone else to do it as I was unable to get to the jets myself.

I bought it a year ago and have not serviced it. Doubt the guy before me serviced much either. I reckon that's the only way to go. I'm in Cork so could anyone recommend a place nearby to do a full service i.e. water heater and fridge?

And i'm an hour and a half from Limerick ;)

Having seen the kind of feedback you give on here, there's nobody I would trust more to have this work done by, just couldn't justify that long a trip to get it done. I called a guy in Cork yesterday, he's on holiday at the moment but he charges 60 per hour and will give me a quote before doing the work. Sound reasonable?

We're a bit less, but yeah that's not unreasonable. PM me if you think he's telling you fairy stories...
