    Hi Folks,

Does anyone know where I can get this (or any other 0.0% alcohol beer") in Dublin?

    Thanks!

I used to source some Bavarian 0% at Dunnes for around 4,50 for 6x 330ml. They might have been on offer not too sure.

You can get the Erdinger and or Paulaner "unleaded" in Tesco and or off License for around 1,50 to 1,99 per 0.5l bottle.

Insane prices for non alc beer where there shouldn't be any duty on them since they probably have less % than fruit juice.

Thanks! I found some Cobra Zero in Gibney's Off-License, Malahide. It has also has 0.0% ABV, which is what I was looking for as it was for my pregnant wife.

Strangely enough, it still has a "Not for pregnant women" logo on it. Any idea on why that's the case? I would imagine it's something to do with the fact that it's marketed as a beer or something, but I'd like to know for certain if it's to do with alcohol content or if it's a business-orientated requirement...

Haven't seen that logo even on "real" beer bottles but never looked at it.

It's primarily because it still contains a low amount of alcohol.
By law if its under 0,5% you can call it "non alcohol". There is a german label which means "alcohol free" where it really never must have any alcohol inside.

That's the reason why the german alcohol free wheat beers are slightly different de-alcoholised.

But the marketing might be in there as well since you can also have up to 0,5% in badly (or better, depends on the view) produced orange juice.

Real or freshly made orange juice with real suggar ferments under ideal conditions in 4 -6 weeks to 0,5%. Thats why they put all the chemical rubbish inside the juices to prevent that and to not have to label the packs. ;)

I was able to get Erdinger "Alkohol Frei" beer in the Rockfield Lounge off-license in Dundrum at the weekend. €2.60 for a 500ml bottle which I thought was a scandal! That said it was much nicer than the Paulaner non-alcoholic beer I'd tried in the past.

Do you know how much it costs to make non-alcoholic beer?
