I thought this season was much better than last season. The ending was all a bit too easy for everyone though! My biggest problem with True Blood has always been that not a lot happens in any episode until the last 2 minutes and everything is wrapped up ultra quickly.

Side note: anyone familiar with the books that can verify if this is true to the cannon of the book franchise?

Good episode! season was fairly slow imo but really picked up in the last two or three episodes. Got a good LOL out of Tara and Pam wearing the face of one another! And Bill's...re-...uh I dunno! Should be interesting to see where that will go!

    That train has already sailed!

    Love you Jason :D

Was a better episode that is for sure, thought the ending was decent, Sam busting your ones head open was classic.

Was delighted the Russell story was put to bed once and for all.

Wondering how far away from the books the show is starting to go after the last season going miles away,

Wish the ol fairies would disappear or get interesting!

its nothing like the books at all. the death of russel was a total anti climax

I was hoping that we'd get to meet Warlow.

It wasn't a bad season. It could have been better but it also could have been worse.

Couldn't stop laughing at your one giving birth.

I don't think this series has been anyway related to the books at all....
    I liked it though... :)

Strange they have that extra scene on HBO Go since it shows Nora knows of Warlow. Though maybe it's a scene they'll include in next season.
I liked Lafayette and Arlene just more or less providing commentary on what was happening

From that extra scene it seemed to me that Jason's Da was sure they'd find him there too.

Disappointed to see Russell gone, thought he was very entertaining. I don't get it though, was it the Fairies light that killed him or Eric staking him?

Was unsure of that myself but I think it was Eric as he made a comment like ''That was even better than I imagined'', poorly done.

good last episode, i was a little disappointed at how quickly russel was killed off and im gonna miss his character.

also i though alseides dealing with the pack master was a bit too convenient (heres one i prepared earlier ;) )

I found this episode very funny... jasons train sailing, sams inventive killing off of the authority one.... luna shifting on live TV .. the fairy giving belflour the 4 babies (that whole scene was funny as...)

i could see Bills character doing what he did, its one thing which will defo have me looking forward to the next series...

I was hoping theyd give a bit more on the warlow story in this episode, but alas no.

In all this was the series i enjoyed most since the first series.... it wasnt as dark i suppose as last years.. but it was funnier.. and we got rid of some dead wood characters (hoyt)

Omg I had to mute it, it was wrecking my head and I'm sure my neighbours thought I was watching some weird porn!

Yeh I'm pretty sure people thought I was watching porn as well :)

    Just watched the scene online.

Weird that they left that out. They'll more than likely show it next season.

Good episode, I actually kind of wished Bill had stayed dead though! And the Pam/Tara thing just doesn't seem to fit with either of their characters.

I think that maybe Warlow is a fairy that became a vampire. That's why Sookie was able to view her parents death from his perspective and how he could do the ghost thing

Thought that was a good episode. I also was hoping that Bill would stay dead. But Aslong as he doesn't miraculously go back to his old self next season I don't mind.

The programme couldn't be further from the books at this point. The books are still way better. But the programme is still relatively entertaining.

I didn't even realise it was the last episode of the season until I read this thread.

The episode was okay and the season got a bit better towards the end but I don't know if I'll bother watching the next season. There are so many better TV shows out there with characters that are actually likeable. :p

was just thinking, what if warlow wants sookies body so he can be reincarnated, he seems to be dead, and maybe hes in need of a body, maybe he done what russell done and drank a mother fairy, so if thats the case maybe russell might survive in some way as a ghost, and will have it out with warlow for sookies body,

what need would warlow have for making such a contract with sookies ancestors, other than her body, if hes part fairy hed have his own powers,

also its brilliant that yerone abandoned poor andy with 4 kids:D

To be honest, I wouldn't mind her body either. :pac:

The programme couldn't be further from the books at this point. The books are still way better. But the programme is still relatively entertaining.

I tried to read the books but they were written in such a hackneyed manner that I couldn't honestly bear it. Alan Ball's adaption is Shakespherean by comparison - he took an interesting idea in average books and turned it into the quintessential smart-dumb fun television show. I know that books will always have their supporters in any tv adaption debate but I feel it's very clear cut in this case.

I enjoyed the season finale immensely. I thought it was the right time to off Russell, a great villain, but one that would have risked out-living his usefulness if he was around next season. I thought the episode was filled with pay-off and some of the best laughs of the series. One of the best episodes of the entire run.

Another season finished and tara is still there:mad::mad: Enjoyed the episode. Still prefer the books though. The tv show is just a little bit too silly at times.

Except she is now actually decent. Making her a vampire was a great choice if they weren't goin to get rid of her for good. She didn't annoy me at all this season compared to every other season. The most annoying thing about this season was the useless fairies. They could have been actually decent if they had made the powers anyway good or threatening, but no they are just useless muppets.

I thought Russell was crap this year. He was funny in small doses but just irritating when given more screen time. He'll be no loss.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,255 ✭✭✭tommy2bad

Like last season it opened and ended well. Pity about the 10 useless episodes in between.
Anyone think their just making it up as they go? The big problem is that you cant trust the writers to build an arc, they run a storyline for most of a season and then just wind it up too fast and unsatisfying. Russel and the smoke monster cases in point.

Yeah I'll watch next season but only because summer is a slow time for good shows.

It felt more like the end of a normal episode, not the end of the season.
