Need backup storage

G'day...

My netbook has just calved and it was being used as my primary backup disk, now looking to get an external storage device to backup photos, docs etc. Does not need to be massive 500GB would be fine....

Anybody got one recently/saw a deal for one?

Is the hard drive in the netbook damaged? If not you can likely remove it and install it in your desktop pc.

It's unlikely you'll pick ap an external hd second hand, so your best bet is to look at memoryc.ie, komplett.ie and amazon.co.uk. (I think each of them offers free delivery to Ireland)

Yep HD totally shagged, not recoverable the experts tell me.

I've seen a 500GB seagate on mymemory via play.com for 72 Euro. Looks like it will do the job. Is this a decent/fair price or can one generally do better?
