Damaged Fuel Pump

    Hi,

Was hoping someone could give me some advice/opinions on a problem I am having.

Was just about to take a drive yesterday when I noticed some petrol spilling onto the road behind me, I stopped to take a look and noticed petrol spewing from the drivers side just below where the drivers side back seat is. Had a look and it seems to be coming out a hole in a little cylindrical thing(friend told me it is probably the fuel pump).

I drive a '02 Citroen Xsara Coupé, and I was just wondering if it is a big job to repair? My dad is pretty handy with most car related fixes but hasn't replaced a fuel pump, is it straight forward enough and any ideas as to how much one would go for/ok to pick up second hand?

    Thanks.

    It's the fuel filter.
Pretty easy fix. You will need a new fuel filter and be able to get underneath the car.
