19" ? What height of mens are we talking about. I'm 5'10'' and wouldn't fit on that.

It's a mountain bike full suspension frame, you would, totally different from standard frames. Suitable for up to 6'1" if I recall correctly.

Link with MTB sizes below, it would easily fit you.

if someone wanted something for popping 2 minutes down to the shop, or around the corner then this should be fine. If you want something to use as an actual mountain bike, i would personally stay away, but for 159 quid, as a very short ride bike, its not bad value.

I find it difficult to believe that bike ever cost €399 in reality. €159 is good for what it is, though.

Don't think it's really a bargain. At that price range you don't want anything with suspension - it's likely to be terrible and just add extra weight that you have to lug around, not to mention that rear shock absorbing your pedalling power and just causing you to bounce up and down!

I have one, Bought it off Amazon a year maybe two ago.

For the price its a great bike and it will suit big and small people as the saddle goes quite high. Its very heavy though!!
The handle bars feel very weedy though.
If you want a cheap mountain bike then its perfect.

Anyone know if this would come assembled on delivery or would it be a DIY job?

I'll let you know tonight when I pick mine up, I'm pretty sure it comes part assembled, the rest is supposed to be pretty easy to put together.

    I'll update later tonight.

Okay, so I ordered the bike online but the online order form had the facility for collection from my local store which I obliged off. I picked it up this evening fully assembled.
I only got the chance to take it for a quick spin as it was lashing rain, the bike is a nice ride and comfortable, the gears however aren't changing that smoothly, they probably just need a bit of tuning. I'll take it for a proper spin tomorrow weather permitting and report back.
Oh and it comes with a free 8 week service also.

Very little to no bounce on it on regular roads, I took it over a few rough roads too, the suspension worked as I should have and had no impact on pedalling power, just my 2 cents worth. The bike is good value for money and I won't be using it for proper mountain biking.

Would I be right in thinking a 19" frame is a tad too big for a person who's about 5'5?

It's a mountain bike frame, totally different to standard bike frames, see earlier post on the sizes, I'm 5'9 and it is perfect

I did see that and it says 15" to 17" frames, but I'm more interested in people's actual experience with this bike. If it's perfect for you then I assume at 4 inches shorter it would be a little too big for me.

Well I have the saddle raised a little, all in all its a very good bike for the price, I took it for a good spin last night and have absolutely no complaints.
