Hi my lurcher is fairly sick, he was grand yesterday but when I left him out of the shed this morning he hadn't eaten any of last nights dinner nor touched his water. I brought him for a quick walk and he then eat a small bit of his food so I put him back in his shed. I checked him again after my dinner and he was very lethargic, he was also dribbling a lot. I've had him inside since then but whenever he tries to eat something he starts getting sick. His nose was very cold all day too. Any ideas on what could be wrong with him?

    Thanks

Rat bourne diseases are at their commonest at this time of year - does your dog have all his up to date vaccinations??

if he has a high temp could just be a simple infection if hes not eating or drinking try get some dioralyte into em mix it and syringe it into his mouth or best bet get em to a vet and be safe rather than sorry

+1.the uncles dog is only after getting thru a bit of recovery time after something similar.a quick shot of penecillin (im guessing it was that anyways) from the local vet had the dog looking better within 24 hours.vet told him its a common thing for late summer/early autumn

    How's the dog today?
Did you get it to a vet yet?

First and foremost get the dog to a vet.
Forums aren't a great place to diagnose an illness of any kind in any animal - for obvious reasons - put up a post that you have a sore thumb and you will be told you have everything from bubonic plague to leprosy.

Never discount anything - whether it's been inoculated against it or not - if the symptoms are pointing in a particular direction then follow them.
