    Hi All,

My colleague and I are in the process of setting up a new Surveillance Company in Ireland. We aim to commence operations by October 2012. At the moment we are on the look out for a female operator. We will be offering very competitive rates and bonuses will be awarded throughout the year on successful cases. We would like to hear from female operators both with or without experience.

    Required:
    Full EU Licence
    Motor vehicle is necessary
Good knowledge of Dublin and surrounding counties
    Fluent English
    Fluent Polish

    Optional:
Second Language (required with some cases)

We would also like to hear from male operators, but at the moment vacancies for male operators are full.

Please contact us for further info

Can you give us a link that explains why you are allowed an exception to the non-discrimination laws for this position, please.

I'm sorry but what or who are you saying I am discriminating against?

    Sex / gender.

This is a surveillance company and we already have male operators. Females are required as to blend in with certain situations/scenarios where men cannot.

Funnily enough, you might actually have a justification for discrimination on the basis of authenticity (I think that's the term used here) - if you require these staff to go into changing rooms and the like.

But your answer (effectively that you already have male staff) tells me that you haven't actually researched this area of Irish employment law, and may well discriminate illegally.

So I'm going to close this thread.

Please don't post here again, unless you are sure that you are complying with Irish law. Oh ... and once you are, please use the general job-vacancies thread, not a specific one.

NB - I don't want to be harsh, but there are certain risks to Boards if we are seen to be letting people do illegal things.
