Its a fast flat 5k race around the Shanganagh park, which is between Shankill and Bray. Entry is only €5, register on the day, no need to pre-enter etc. Lots more information on the facebook event page and on the SliCualann.com website, and the facebook event page

Raging I'm missing this one due to work. It's one of the best supported F4L races on the calendar and you won't find too many flatter 5ks and just enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes.

For anyone getting public transport, Shankill is well served by Buses and the Dart, here is a map of directions from Shankill Dart station to the start location of the 5k, this is about a 10min jog!

I'm looking forward to this run - great value even if there is not a crucifying hill at the end of this one! And thanks for the directions

Great course and very efficient organisation tonight and as always great value. Only one question - when and where is the next event in the series?

Great job as always guys. Well done. And what fantastic conditions.
And I bagged me another PB so that's always nice. :)

Only one question - when and where is the next event in the series?

Sorry, we (Sli Cualann AC) were waiting on one of the other clubs to get back to us who were going to host the next race, We should have it all pinned down during our next meeting which in just over a weeks time. We'll have it up on slicualann.com as soon as possible after that!

Possible choices could include another trail race, in Djouce (maybe even a predictor run?), Floodlit Mile on the Greystones track, or a 5k on the very fast Ashford/Cullamore bends route, anyone got any feedback as what they would prefer?

Personally, I'd love to give a floodlit mile a crack. It would bring me back to my teenage years - I've a long memory! :D
But on the basis that there are plenty of 5k and trail runs available, but not so many miles, especially under floodlights!

I'm raging that I keep missing these.

Would love to run the Ashford/Cullamore bends route as a race.

[QUOTE=Timmaay;80657201, anyone got any feedback as what they would prefer?[/QUOTE]

being a very democratic running group the belfield runners took a vote tonight - turns out it doesn't really matter whether its a mile, a trail race or the Cullamore/Ashford bends - just organise it and we will look forward to running it regradless. A nice vote of confidence but absolutely useless if you were hoping for any conclusive feedback:D

Hmmmm If you really want a 400, best bet is to head off to Australia and get the start of their track season :P. But in any case, are you sure ya can handle the pressure of having to do a sub 60sec 400 if we put one on specially for you at the minute :P

Well, I'd certainly give it a try. Particularly if I had a pacer. [Hint, hint]. :)
I don't deserve a vote anyway, as I only managed to make it to the first two races. Will try and make the last two, if they don't clash with DCM.
