Feel guilty making this thread. :P

    WWE-Saturday-Morning-Slam--e1345610828460.jpg
WWE Saturday Morning Slam debuts on The CW tomorrow, Saturday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m.

"WWE Saturday Morning Slam" packs riveting in-ring action, larger-than-life WWE Superstars and WWE’s entertaining brand extensions into the fastest, most energy-filled half-hour on television. WWE Superstar profiles, behind-the-scenes footage and an exclusive WWE match every week will all combine to make "WWE Saturday Morning Slam" the perfect destination for the youngest viewers in the WWE Universe. The show also includes highlights from WWE's be a STAR anti-bullying campaign and other community initiatives.

It features matches that bar any moves or holds aimed at the neck.

Kinda enjoy it as fast moving and as vivid as you would expect. But Santino's commentary was kinda hard to hear though he needs to speak more intelligibly and has lots of preachy WWE PR sh*te aimed at parents.

At least they can throw a punch on censored Dragon Ball Kai. :p

The get-'em-while-they're-young mentality of the whole thing is a bit disturbing. And if it's just going to be arm drags every week I can see it quickly losing its appeal. ;)

You couldn't even dream of making up something that stupid.

Why? There is a very good reason for that.

You know you watch too much wrestling/TV if you'd actually waste half an hour watching that tripe.

No closelines, sleepers, ddts, dropkicks, punches and so many other moves. Is everything off the table

I was watching Premier League so I forgot about it. I only saw the 3 or 4 minutes of it.

I thought you were talking about from a child's POV.

I thought the match was perfectly fine and I probably wouldn't have noticed if you didn't tell me.

I'm all for this "Aimed at kids" show if they do an "Aimed at adults" show as well :P

Suprisingly decent match there. Rest of the show...well it is what it is. I laughed at Santino constantly trying to emphasise how cheating never prevails. :D

Wonder how successful it will be ratings-wise; can't imagine having any interest in this as a kid; lacks of any of the rebelliousness.

When was that match recorded - at a Smackdown event? Was before Summerslam anyway as Santino still had the belt.

Looks like they even blurred out the "wwe.com" from the ring apron

It was tapped before the go-home SmackDown to Summerslam

Something to do with the American FFC not allowing advertising on childrens TV shows. Ads during the breaks are fine, but not during the show itself. That was the reason for the blurs.

I like it and hope it does really well.

And I too. It reminds me of when I got into wrestling as a child. It's safe for youngsters to watch.

Hmmm, they should also blur out things like Santino's t-shirt and cobra, since they are just designed to sell merchandise. :)

I think this is stupid and insulting. What's the point in banning certain moves as this surely gives off the impression that the regular show - which features the banned moveset - is not fit for viewing for children? 'Oh little Jimmy I had no idea this late show has swinging neckbreakers. :('

I suppose at least with this show parents can rest easy knowing their kids will at worst likely be bullied by youngsters hitting armbars.

This is the kind of trash kidz show (yes, with a z cos that's the hip way to write it) that is thought up by some Kevin Dunn-type exec who thinks youngsters have to have things fired at them in a condensed, vibrant, whacky, zany, hip-hop, kerrraaaaaazzzy way because they're young and presumably stupid. It's like those politics shows you see on BBC3 featuring someone like Dappy from N-Dubz on there which dumbs issues down to an insulting degree because some thirtysomething thought this is how teenagers ought to be spoonfed. Give kids some credit.

As a kids show it's got nothing on Phineas and Ferb.

More of a Samurai Jack man myself......whats wrong with kids just watching any other dubya dubya eee show anyway there is nothing too risque or violent in todays product.

Ah here, I was watching RAW back in 99 at the age of 5 and It never had a bad influence on me, If this was on when I was a kid I wouldn't watch it.

I suppose its OK having this show for kids since we have NXT which is directed towards an adult marky audience

Reminds me of the football show BBC have on a saturday for kids.

harmless, and its aimed at small kids, under 10's i'd guess, not teenagers.

The reason why these shows are as relatively dated - Cameron being featured and Santino wearing the US title last week as according to PWInsider is that WWE has to submit shows two weeks in advance as they have to be vetted for the chillders.

Have you guys seen the Regal vs Ryder Saturday Morning Slam?

One of the more non-WWE on WWE TV in a while given the limitations they work round due to the no strikes to the neck rule - lots of mat work. The sudden conclusion of the match is SO silly.

Sin Cara vs El Local (which may or may not be Ricardo Rodríguez lol):

I was wondering who that was! I actually had no idea who it was, and was racking my brains going through the roster thinking, who could be wearing a mask just for one match? The best thing I saw on Saturday Morning Slam so far was Daniel vs. Tyson Kidd.

I admit to being in the hardcore fan bubble but that's mad to me given at the very least Ricardo's distinctive (horrible) tatoos.

El Local has wrestled on some European shows this go around.

My first exposure to Ricardo was in Chikara when he worked as Chimaera:

I'm confused. When do they tape the matches for this show? Last week's episode had Brad Maddox as a referee. Saturday's episode had Booker T on commentary.
